We are Chinese medicine doctors specialising in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Our practice has been in The Galleries shopping centre since 2010, was in Staple Hill between 2005 -2010, and will be relocated to The Arcade (Unit 14, BS1 3JA) in 2024 due to that The Galleries will be closed for renovations.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses for more than 2,000 years.  In China, its country of origin, the students of the university of TCM are educated in both TCM and Morden medicine (MM) for 5 years (bachelor degree) before they are qualified to be doctors to work in hospitals. Chinese medicine(CM) is not seen as an alternative form of therapy, but is used in state hospitals alongside modern medicine in China.

In contrast to MM, the treatments of CM are always tailored to the individual, and in response to the whole person’s health, not one disease or symptom. Practitioners diagnose on the basis of not only a medical history and physical observations – including looking at someone's skin, taking their pulse, and checking the condition and colour of their tongue – but also on answers to questions about how their patient is feeling. According to individual needs, acupuncture or herbs, or combination of both is used in treatments, with symptoms viewed as indications of an underlying condition rather than something to be dealt with in isolation.

CM became increasingly popular in the UK since its introduction into the West in the 1970s. Patients' reports of the positive results they've achieved with CM in tackling chronic conditions as well as minor ailments, plus an increasing number of encouraging scientific studies into its effectiveness, are also winning a growing respect for CM among people and Western-style doctors.
