Our practitioners, Dr Juan and Dr Sophie, are formally educated with CM and MM and qualified as a doctor in China. With practicing CM for 25+ years in both China and the UK, we gained considerable clinical experience. We are specialised in not only acupuncture but also Chinese herbal medicine. Especially Chinese herbal formulas (usually containing about 8-18 different herbs carefully chosen according to individual conditions),only practitioner with formal education and wide experience can formulate effectively.
Our practitioners are members of ATCM (The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine) which is a professional organization for the practice of TCM, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal remedy, cupping, etc. It is not only dedicated to excellence in the practice of TCM, but also promoting proper professional qualifications and the highest standards in the profession.

Dr Juan
Dr Juan, Heng Hong Zhuang, has had 5 years of medical education of both TCM and MM and received his Bachelor’s degree of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in NanJing University of TCM in China. Qualified as a doctor when he graduated, Juan practised in the hospital in China since 1995. He was Doctor in charge of internal medicine before he came to the UK. Juan has been practising TCM in Britain since 2003.
Dr Sophie
Dr Sophie , ShengChun Zhang, has had 9 years in total of medical education of both *TCM and *MM, and received her Bachelor's and Master's degree of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in NanJing University of TCM (China), as well as a Master degree of Science Medicine in Sheffield University (UK).
Dr Sophie has been qualified as doctor in 1995 and working in NanJing University of TCM and their affiliated hospital since then till she came to the UK. She continued to practice TCM in Bristol since 2003.
Dr Sophie was also leader Doctor of the volunteer TCM doctors of southwest region during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide consultation and treatment.
